Player Development

Development you can actually see.

Most programs tell you your player is improving. We show you — with structured evaluations, physical testing and written reports families can read, download and keep.

The ISD development model

The six pillars of ISD development

Every ISD player is developed and evaluated through six connected pillars designed to build a more complete footballer.

Technical

Master the ball.

First touch, ball mastery, passing, dribbling and finishing.

Football IQ

See and understand the game.

Scanning, decision making, reading the game and anticipation.

Tactical

Apply decisions within the game.

Positioning, pressing, transitions, shape and combination play.

Physical

Build football-specific athletic ability.

Speed, agility, endurance, strength, balance and coordination.

Character

Develop the habits and mentality to improve.

Discipline, respect, confidence, accountability and resilience.

Leadership

Positively influence the team.

Communication, responsibility and influence on team-mates.

The ISD Player Identity

We don't just develop skills. We develop a way of playing.

Our players learn to think, move, communicate and compete with purpose. These behaviors define how we expect ISD players to train and perform.

  • 01

    Move With Purpose

Keep moving. Create space. Support the next action.

  • 02

    Think Before the Ball Arrives

Scan early. Recognize space. Make faster decisions.

  • 03

    Coach Each Other

    Communicate. Organize. Help teammates succeed.

  • 04

    Press With Aggression & Intelligence

Close quickly. Control the space. Force the next action.

  • 05

    Hunt Together

Press together. Support the press. Win the ball together.

  • 06

    React Immediately in Transition

    When possession changes, react immediately.

  • 07

    Compete With Character

Work. Respond. Stay disciplined. Maintain standards.

The development cycle

Assess. Plan. Coach. Measure.

04

Coach notes & 8-week goals

Voice coach notes become clear goals, each linked to a pillar and an identity behavior.

05

One session, one report — pillar scores plus the identity behaviors assessed that day.

06

Progress analytics & re-evaluation

Progress over time in the portal, ending in the Official Player Development Report.

Physical testing

Re-tested every 8 weeks.

Athletic development is tracked with the same rigour as technique, so gains in speed, agility and power are visible instead of assumed.

  • Sprint speed
  • Illinois agility
  • Broad jump
  • Reaction test
  • Endurance
  • Strength
  • Balance
  • Coordination
